These are the notes from my first ever training session with Philippe Stiel, former coach of the Belgian pistol national team. He’s the only ISSF pistol coach I found in Belgium and the commute to the training range was manageable with a new born and a small kid at home. Sport Psychology Applied to Sport Shooting
Hector Montalvo Angulo is a Spanish level 1 national pistol coach that I met thanks to an invitation to participate in an online competition via WhatsApp during the first COVID lockdown. Among the many things that were shared in that group was this conference he gave at the olympic shooting federation of Valentia (Real Federación Valenciana de Tiro Olímpico). As soon as I started reading it I thought that it had to be published and Hector immediately gave permission.
Precision & Standard Air Pistol Training Plan
This is the last of my training plans with Santiago Gómez Salgado so far. Balance, Stop and Endurance Training Plan (With Left Shots Correction)
After last week’s notes on how to fix a slump and shots going to the right (contrary to my usual left shots at the time), this time Santiago sent a training plan and some notes to work on body balance, arm stop in the aiming zone, and endurance, plus how to fix some mistakes that could have caused the left shots. First we dive into his wisdom and notes:
